Fill out your profile
To start, Foray needs your city, one game you play, and a confirmation that you are 18 or over. Formats, skill level, a photo, a bio and the times you are usually free can come later, and they make it easier to find an opponent.

Browse players who want a game now
The Players tab lists looking-for-game posts in your area. Posts expire, so everyone you see wants to play soon. Filter by game, format, distance, date and skill level, or post your own.

Send a request
A request includes a short message and shows your games, your record and your dispute rate. The other player accepts or declines. When they accept, a direct chat opens and you agree a date and time.
Matchmaking is free. Posting, requesting, chatting and booking a table cost nothing.

Book a table at a verified store
Every store on the map has been verified by Foray before it appears. Store pages show opening hours, table types and open slots. A booking needs an accepted match, so two players are always attached. If the store charges for a table, the fee is shown before you book and paid at the store.

Report the result
After the match, both players report who won, within 72 hours. Reports that agree go on your record. If you each claim the win, the match is recorded as undecided and counts towards your dispute rate. Either player can mark a game casual instead, and then nothing is recorded.

Meeting strangers is the point. Here is what is in place.
Play at a store
Bookings only exist at verified stores, so there is always a public place to meet. Where you play is your choice; we suggest a store for a first game.
Block and report
From any profile, post, chat or listing. Blocked players stop seeing each other's posts, profiles and listings, and cannot message.
Reports are reviewed
Every report goes to a moderator. A no-show goes to review rather than straight onto anyone's record.
Distance, not address
Other players see how far away you are, never where you are. Your location is used for distances and the map, and is not shown.
