The hobby isn't shrinking. The scheduling is just terrible.
Most cities in Southeast Asia have more tabletop players than any one group chat can see. Everyone owns a deck or an army. Agreeing a night is the hard part.
Finding an opponent usually means posting into a channel, waiting, negotiating a venue, and watching the plan fall apart the day before. Every step loses people.
Foray is the smallest thing we could build that fixes it: a feed of people who want a game now, a request that carries what the other player needs to know, a chat to agree a date, and a table at a store that is verified and open. Results are reported afterwards, so a yes means yes.
Foray is built by a small team and starts in Bangkok.
One city at a time
A city works or it doesn't. We open one at a time, verify every store, and don't add the next until the feed is worth checking.
Stores are part of it
A match without a table is just a conversation. Listing is free, table fees stay with the store, and Foray takes nothing from them.
No engagement farming
There is no feed to scroll for fun, no streaks, and no notification that isn't about a request, a match, a booking, a result or a message. Success is you closing the app and going to play.
